Whether it’s a small pond in your backyard or lakes used for fishing and boating, maintaining the amount of water is critical to encouraging not only the fish but also the vegetation in or around the pond. There’s always ways to check the quality of your water systems. Here at our tilapia farm, we now use a combination of plants and aeration to reduce the impact on the nature of the water.

Water Hyacinth

This beautiful flower is a wonderful addition to your pond. It’s important to put them in a place where they won’t stand because you’ll want the roots to be out of the water to remove intense toxins from the water. I used hollow tongs to place them in the center of the pond. This works well. You will most likely pull several that are attached. For removal, they are easy due to their size and the fact that they float. Water hyacinth is the ideal plant for removing toxins from your pond or pond. They love the ammonia and nitrates found in water systems. Any substances that are not good for the pond are great for your garden.

Water Lilies

Water lilies are yet another type of water plant. They can vary in size and flower color. Like water lilies, they must be controlled so that they do not completely cover a lake. By rooting in the soil, they help remove ammonia, phosphates, and nitrates from the entire water body. The flowering of many lilies occurs at night and, even for early risers, is a sight rarely seen by those who prefer to sleep late. At our home in Brazil, we have a bird called the Indian jacana.…
